Tartan 43/Fang1 eyeballed here from the back door refuelling in AARA13, also comms on scanner [277.625mhz] and Tartan43 plotted on radar using M/LAT... Fantastic...

Fast jet activity in the Egremont area this morning at around 11.30 Low and edium level, possibly Tornados.

2 x F15 Eagles enjoying the scenery over the Silloth area yesterday, reports of the dualing for at least 20 mins, also one F15 later on very low low heading out to Scotland via Cumbria.

Action at last... 17.15 - RN Sea King into Whitehaven hospital 17.30 - C-130 Hercules over Distington heading South 19.30 - RN Sea King heading towards Ennerdale 21.15 - RN Sea King over Whitehaven heading North.

world war 3 tonight guys Tornados in the Area for about 10 minutes around the Egremont West Lakes area. They seemed to be working with something higher up perhaps a Waddington based aircraft.

Had a Typhoon going round in about 4 or 5 large orbits over Distington / Pica this morning about 11am about 5,000 ft was good to watch then he cleared off towards the Lakes.

Had to stay off work on Friday so was at home to see Army Lynx's coming down Bass Lake on their way to Workington. I think it was the second trip through that I saw it over the lake and then 10 minutes later it was on the news, flying above the reporter near the downed bridge. I heard the lynx was being used to transport engineer's looking at the remaining bridges. Herc also came through in very bad weather (low cloud, dark and raining) Thursday evening. I wonder if it was related.

Lynx's been refuelling in Penrith all weekend.Theyve set up a refuelling station in the Rugby Club Car park.
