Hi guys Something I've been wanting to try for a while but needed a bubble blowing volunteer available to lend a hand. I didn't manage to get the exact results I was after and it turned out a bit more tricky than I expected to actually photograph the bubbles. Here's a few of my efforts. Straight bubble shots. A little bit of radial blur added. Playing with colour. Not exactly what I was trying to achieve but still enjoyed the experimenting and the final results. Cheers Gary

Gotta give you some credit for trying different things Gary.... how did you get the smoke effect on them, or is it just the way the light is distorted? cheers Chris

Hi Chris
That's just how they came out. That was the effect I was looking for.If you look close at a bubble you can see all the swirling colours and that's what got me thinking about trying to capture that in a photo. What I didn't bank on was the reflections from inside the room. When I thought about it it was obvious they would be there. The only way to get rid of them would be to have everything in the room totally black,me included.
Cheers Gary

Gary they have turned out well. Number 1 looks like a marble and is the pick for of them for me. Pure genius mate, great idea. With the right environment, a bit of luck and some serious editing you could get a solar system out of it!
