Not very well Mike they seemed to be hitting the barriers a fair bit... which kinda makes it an expensive sport to be involved in

Hi Chris
The last one is the pick of the bunch for me.There's a bit too much blur in the others for my liking. For some reason my eyes dislike it when part of the car is sharp and other parts are blurry.I think it's something to do with when the vehicle isn't parrallel to the focal plane of the camera you have the phenomenen of one part of the car(closest) moving faster across the camera than the furthest part of the car. I've come across the problem quite a few times myself and had to increase the shutter speed slightly to keep everything sharp but still hopefully keep plenty of background blur. Not a critiscism, just the way my eyes see things. Some excellent panning by the way.
Got any more? Cheers Gary

No worries Gary I am in ultra slow shutter mode for cars at the moment... and went to the event to really capture the motion... I know exactly what your saying about part of the car being in focus and part OOF but I feel it makes the pics more 'dynamic' Drifting is all about sliding round the track - so rather than me seeing it as a problem, this was my plan of action 'so bugger off' LOL hope you are well buddy cheers Chris

I'm bouncing mate.Better if I could a decent days weather to get out in them hills though.Spent all last week at wotk with superb weather.Get Mon/Tue off this week and all it does is flippin pour down.
Helicopters,cars-you will be going for motion with a speeding tortoise before long. Now that would be worth seeing.
Cheers G
