They're looking well. Not that i know much but i Like the water on the petals in the second shot. Do you use the automatic macro setting or do you set up manually? Karl

Hi Mike Nice to see that you are taking the camera to work.Should be plenty of specimens for you to point the camera at there.I used to do quite a bit of flower photography. If I was going out with the camera and the weather was poor I would nip down to Tesco or Fearons and grab a bunch of flowers and then spend a couple of hours trying out lots of different things. I prefer the second picture. The first one needs a shallower depth of field to throw the background out of focus a bit more. I like the second one but I think it would benefit from a tighter crop. It's a nice effect with the water drops(some flower photographers actually travel around with a spray bottle to add their own). Hope you don't mind-cropped it and adjusted the levels. Altering the colour can also give some nice effects. Looking forward to seeing a few more. Cheers Gary

Nice idea Mike.Looks like imageshack's jpeg compression has killed alot of detail though. These picture hosting sites can play havoc with your pictures. Let's see some more.
Cheers Gary
