hi Guys, further to the above, the a/c in this report was a Rans s6 based at Kirkbride and had a total engine failure (seized) no pan call was given as he had lost all electrical power. Both pilot and passenger were unhurt and walked away from the landing albeit with a startled expression.A/c has been recovered to the a/field and is to go for repairs, the damage is not to severe (noseleg, prop and some minor dings) but luckily no harm was done to the crew which is the main thing.I was manning the radio at the time but the first I knew of it was when a landrover pulled up. The Yak 52 has gone back to North Weald and yes I did get my flight over to Kipford and along the Scottish coastline.Sorry but as in all things the programme did not go as planned and changes were made for re-fuelling etc, but he will be back as he is looking to get either a Yak 50 or a Sukoi fully aerobatic a/c.I will keep you posted!

Hi again, which of you were at thirlmere today my Yak pilot saw two people up there with an orange plus a yellow high viz jacket on,he said he gave you a lovely top side pass at 60% hope you got it and you were not the caa.He hopes by the way that you will not post anything that might get him in trouble with the said office !!! he has a clean sheet and he hopes to keep it that way.He enjoys his trps to Kirkbride and he hopes to be here longer next time. His time en route to North Weald was 1hr 50mins,not to dusty eh.!!
