I'm busy chasing French Air Force Mirage 2000Ns at low level around NW Sutherland at the moment - managed photos of two attacking the Kylesku Bridge at low level on Monday afternoon but will have to wait until I get back home next weekend to see what they are like - I'm staying with relatives north of Inverness at the moment but will head back up to Cape Wrath on Monday via Ullapool, where I saw 3 Fj20s and 2 Hawks at low level on Friday morning.
Saw a Seahawk land aboard USS Cole on Wednesday morning off Cape Wrath but too distant for photos - the helo was off one of the other US Navy vessels in the Neptune Warrior exercise as Cole is an 'early' Arleigh Burke and only has a flight deck and no hangar fitted.
The RAF are bombing Garvie Island at Cape Wrath next week so that should be interesting - Buttkicker, I'll bear you in mind and try to present a proper report afterwards on what you are likely to see if you ever come up this way.
