Yes indeedy, finally decided to go to a base and photo the jets at work rather than an airshow. Coningsby was the target, so I got in the trusty Audi and left the comfort of Yorkshire to go into the Lincolnshire wilderness. I must admit I was expecting bugger all, but had quite a lot of movements over the hour I was there. I believe I might have got the QRA "going to work" (see the two ship ones, they look tooled up to me) all in all a pleasant day and I came back with a few nice shots Thanks to the backseater who gave me a wave, made my day he did ! and the Sea Harrier is in a field at Queensbury near Bradford, I grabbed a couple of shots on the way to the motorway. Well it is the coolest thing to have in a field near you aint it. Canon EOS400D Sigma 70 300 APO DG

Good to see some Typhoons, bases can be rewarding if you know where to go.

Hi Phil Some very nice light on some of the Typhoons. An awesome place to spend the day with plenty of aircraft(usually) and enough good locations to give plenty of variety in the shots that you can get.If only the Typhoon used more than half the runway though Cheers Gary
