Managed a few hours here this afternoon courtesy of a 1000 finish at work this morning - isn't flexi time wonderful? Hawk XX220/220 208 Sqdn came through at 1501. A BAe Harrier GR.9 from Warton carrying a Brimstone fit was next up, the star of the afternoon for me, especially as the sun was out at 1538 when it came through! Nothing then until I'd actually packed up and was just setting off to leave at 1658 - a Tornado F.3 was sighted so it was a case of throwing off the backpack and quickly retrieving the camera (didn't even have time to put the lens hood on!).... Two Griffins were low level southbound just after 1200, they overflew the car as I reached the dual carriageway just south of Keswick. Both routed east of Green How before heading for Dunmail. A Tucano overflew northbound about twenty minutes later. Graeme

Cracking stuff, like the GR9, they always look better tooled up. Any idea which squadron the F3 was from?

Sorry, Chris, he was topside on by the time I'd got myself sorted out - checking for squadron markings wasn't my immediate priority!

Cheers everyone - Chris, the F.3 was ZE788 and was unmarked apart from some tiny characters in white on the little scoop at the base of the tail fin - "AS6064". Would that be the con number?
In any case, it's one of the trials aircraft from Warton.
