LOL, Cheers Chris, I know what you mean mate, It is difficult I agree, The Tonka came right at us,Looked like it was setting up for Lanty............... And then pulled stick left and pulled over the back GRRRRRRRR lol but I'm of a mind that as long as I get 'Something' round in front of me it'll do ;-) Hoping for a Tonka and Tiffy next time though

Just noticed in image 11 Mark the big rock on the near bottom left just behind the wall is a spot I have frequented on a number of occasions and further up the valley on Helm Crag at the same height as the GR4 go to the left and the rock above the bracken has a nice flat bit to sit on LOL
and for the next bit of useless bit of information - I just found it amusing that you manged to get two places in the same image

Excellent mate, have wondered about the possibility of using the ridge on the right many a time, Is it the bottom of Nab Scar ? I'd imagine you'd get some great head ons there ? If you've had anything from there I'd love to see 'em mate, Feel free to put them in this thread if you'd like to,no probs if not

Excellent mate, have wondered about the possibility of using the ridge on the right many a time, Is it the bottom of Nab Scar ? I'd imagine you'd get some great head ons there ? If you've had anything from there I'd love to see 'em mate, Feel free to put them in this thread if you'd like to,no probs if not Mark I have been at that location 3 times in the past and I actually think it works far better than Lanty where I have been twice but at Lanty I have been higher and further round to the right than you normally go but in your shot 11 as stated earlier at the back of the wall you at least get them if they come round the back albiet at a fair distance but at Lanty you get nothing please think on that these images were shot in abysmal weather so are not good and would not otherwise post these as the quality is rubbish - but as a guide so you can see what can be had Mark my gallery is a bit mixed up but 99% of the above images came down the back of Loughrigg so you see what I mean about all the missed one's at Lanty they might be big crops but at least you get something these next few are coming round Rydal sadly not a single front liner coming round the way I wanted them to!!!!! the cave hope these are of use to you... the downside is that the sun comes into play but if they come round Rydal water way you can pan with them the whole way round the valley which ensures getting some that are not backlit but on my 3 visits one day was sunny and drew a blank 2 days of abysmal weather had everything going down the back bar The squirrell Tucs and a couple of Hawks but make no mistake if a grey pointy thing comes round that corner I believe the images will be superb
