A few more from last weekend, where to begin, really disappointed with the Reds, Steve Carver need to learn he's displaying at Whiteaven not the Isle of Man, RV8tors stole the show for me, Strikemaster was ok, nothing to write home about though. Highlight definately the Sea King from Friday evening. However on with some ropey and some not so ropey pics.... rescue9 by Chris Gurney, on Flickr rescue8 by Chris Gurney, on Flickr rescue7 by Chris Gurney, on Flickr rescue5 by Chris Gurney, on Flickr rescue1 by Chris Gurney, on Flickr Reds Arrow by Chris Gurney, on Flickr Red Arrows by Chris Gurney, on Flickr BAC 167 Strikemaster by Chris Gurney, on Flickr RV-8 G-LEXY by Chris Gurney, on Flickr RV-8 G-LEXY by Chris Gurney, on Flickr

I suppose Chris ,the Red Arrows show is maybe going to be a bit curtailed with there only being seven of them? They usually split into two sections of four & five planes during the show don't they, so there is always something to watch while one or other section regroups rather than just using the pair as they seemed to this time?
Be good to see it developed as more of an airshow in future,it's a better venue than Windermere any way , plus there didn't seem to be much happening in the harbour area that hadn't been seen before (although being jubilee weekend it may have been hard to book stuff this year?).

Totally wrong aircraft on show for a place like Whitehaven. They either need to be big, loud or numerous to make any impact. Gary

Thanks for the comments guys, all i can do is pass them on. I can see it going down hill though with more emphasis being put on "celebs". RUMOUR has it Ainsley Harriot cost £30,000 just to do 1 day. if only that was spent on the flying. I have suggested that with so many drop outs this year with the weather that any saved funds get added to next years display fund to give it a bit of a boost and a bigger show. We will have to wait and see what happens. Next year is i believe the 21st-23rd June 2013.
