Nice to see the Victor still looking good. Personally i'd rather see that flying than the Vulcan, it looks so much more futuristic.

I think i probably took 50 pics of the Victor alone.An absolutly gorgeous aeroplane.I would love to see one flying again.

I think the blue chopper is a Bristol Sycamore, bit of a guess though off the top of my head.

Have any of you been to the Air show at Elvington? Until recently we had a caravan and we went for a few years. It is great value if you have a tent, caravan, or camper. last time we went a couple of years ago it was about £60 for the three of us, for the 2 days of the show, .including camping and entry into the air museum.
Each year as part of the show they do a high speed run with the victor, culminating in her streaming the brake chute (that's a picture I took at one of the shows in my signature bit below).
Elvington isn't as hectic as some of the big shows, and the flying displays are usually between about 12pm & 5pm, leaving enough time to look round the trade stands without missing any action.

I've heard some good things about the flightline at Elvington with the sun apparently behind you most of the day.

Yes the sun is setting by the time it gets in front of you, even then it is way of low to your left.
