This is being held on the 25th July. Once again negotiations are taking place with the RAF, RN and civilian owners, with the Windermere & Sunderland shows taking place the same weekend we are hopeful of getting a display or two, along with the odd visitor. Fingers crossed the weather gods play ball this year.
Message from Dakotasix, moved to right forum Guys, Re Kirkbride Fly-in, the display list at the moment consists of, BBMF Dakota (Fly-past) the aerostars (Display) Simon Johnstone's Isaac's Fury, (plus another Fury) Sokol Kraguj, T67 Firefly (giving 20 min trips, hopefully),plus I hope another Skybolt from Barton. I have not stopped yet and will continue to beg, steal and borrow anything else I can. Please pray to your God for a good day and a brilliant turn out!!
Fancy doing a few loops or rolls, then there are 20 min aerobatic flights available at this years open day in a T67 Firefly for just £60. Also the Aerostars are due to display at 15.20 for those interested :-)
Despite grey weather there were about 35-40 arrivals for this years Open Day and Fly-In, a full list will appear when i get the chance but suffice to say there was always something going on. Great displays by the Aerostars and Simon Johnstone in the Isaacs Fury, some great passes too by the Jungmann, T67M-160 and PA-32 Cherokee Six amongst others.
