It would appear that there are plans to hold an airshow along Walney Seafront in 2008, no date has been set at the moment but the local Council is very keen on the idea and is doing its best to get the event to take place. The organiser is once again Paul Rose.

Afraid not, unless you fancy climbing on top of the BAE Systems building. Direction for photography is a bit crap as well. Looking at the map it seems to be into the sun all day.

£54k is a rather slim budget given the costs in every aspect of event organisation/management these days, and that's before you factor-in aircraft appearances and fuel. . .
