Not a good year for cancellations, so far 3 shows have bitten the dust. We all know about the Walney show but across the Uk the Redhill Airshow has been lost as well as the Woodchurch Wings Airshow that has been cancelled today.

It's not good news is it? These (quote) "smaller" airshows are the underbelly of the airshow industry - they give the scene strength in depth - so it's really disappointing to see them go. I suppose it reflects all the challenges facing the industry at the moment though, and I guess this will be the trend over the long-term of 10-20 years.
Saying that though, the UK industry overall is still in reasonably good shape and of course we have far more shows to go to than fellow enthusiasts on the continent. It's just that for us lot up north we have to travel further to see them!
