Credit www.newsandstar.co.ukA major campaign by local residents and farmers in Keswick will see the RAF stop using the low fly area of LFA17. This will see all flights by military aircraft over Cumbria not coming below 5'000ft. Local resident Maureen Colheurn is reported to be delighted at the news following a recent high profile campaign by herself and other local residents of the Lake District National Park Authority. The ban is likely to come into force this time next year to allow the RAF to alter it's training patterns.

Have I spotted an April fool Chris?!
Either that or she is probably some offcomer who retired to Cumbria and now has nowt better to do than complain! I bet she is also a member of OORE (offcomers opposed against a radioactive environment)...sorry CORE (the C is supposed to represent Cumbrians).
Rant over.
