Hi Chris, just to confirm that we're not clashing with Kirkbride this year, and to let some of your forumites know the other dates:
2009 Events List
May 3rd - Old Timers Fly-in
Open to both old aircraft and old pilots!
June 7th - Ladies Day
As the title suggests, primarily for lady pilots and their aircraft.
June 14th - RAC Fly-out
A mass exodus, destination TBC.
July 11th and 12th - Real Aeroplane Company 20th Anniversary Bash and Jungmann 75th Anniversary Fly-in
Many attractions being planned including a 1940's hangar dance, BBQ, racing cars, classic cars/bikes etc. We will endeavour to fly all the Real Aeroplane Company fleet during the weekend.
August 2nd - All Comers Fly-in and RAC 'At Home' Day
Open to all aircraft types.
September 13th - Helicopter Fly-in
Other Club activities include group trips to the Aero Expo in Prague (May 21st - 24th), the Memorial Airshow at Roudnice Nad Labem (June 27th-28th), Schaffen Diest Fly-in (August 14th - 16th). Details for these will appear on the Club noticeboard via Andy Wood.
A word about access to events held at Breighton
Whilst we warmly welcome members of the general public to Breighton admission can only be made by subscribing to Museum Club Membership (I prefer to think of it as a season ticket). Annual membership is just £25 per year, that's around £5 per fly-in, and don't forget you can bring family and friends along too (on the proviso that the Club member accepts responsibility for their guests) and visit any weekend, not just Fly-in weekends. Museum membership represents excellent value for money and is very popular with aviation enthusiasts and budding aviation photographers who enjoy an unrivalled level of access to aircraft, pilots and the flying activities.
Pilots of visiting aircraft and their crews/pax DO NOT NEED TO BE CLUB MEMBERS and there are NO LANDING FEES ON FLY-IN DAYS.
Cheers,
Dav'
