Very strong rumour that there will be between 6-8 Indian AF SU-30MKI Flankers operating out of RAF Leeming for a couple of weeks late in July. Needless to say i've got everything crossed that can physically be crossed ;D ;D

It now appears that the Flankers are going to Waddington. They will be there from July 2nd - 12th. Reason is because the runway is too short at Leeming apparently.

You might want to try Dunmail Raise or somewhere along Thirlmere the day after they arrive - in my experience, the RAF usually take visiting detachments on something of a "Cook's Tour" around the UK Low Fly System on the first full day. Of course, it's all weather dependent, plus down to the abilities of the crews/aircraft involved. There's also a mitigating factor in that their hosts are interceptors, although F.3s are still semi-regular in the UKLFS, so you never know. Maybe worth a try if folks don't want/can't travel across to Lincolnshire. To give you an example, three of the Polish Su-22s that visited Coltishall a couple of years back on detachment all piled through Dunmail at low level the following day after arrival in the UK. That's where I'm going to pitch up....
