Hi all, posting the photos of a couple of my Signal base units (R-532 and R-535) I wondered if people would be interested in sharing info and photos of other older airband recievers?
Anyone have any info on Gauers? How about Park Air Electronics who are better known for their professional aviation communictaion equipment than the radios they aimed at the top end of the hobby market?
How about: What was your first airband receiver? First handheld?
Some of this older kit might be 'long in the tooth' as stated elsewhere on the boards but if airband is your real interest a lot of this older kit puts the modern scanners to shame.

I remember my first scanner, it was a WIN 108, nice little scanner though it only picked up civil band i seem to remember.

Not the smallest of airband radios but a good performer (especially good for ACARS reception). Coverage is 108.000 - 118.000 at 50KHz steps and 118.000 to 42.975 MHz at 25KHz steps. 20 memories. (taken before I got a digital camera...once the various boxes are unpacked I'll try and remember to get a better photo). (edited) - whilst on the subject of the WIN 108 - Does anyone know if Win Industries Ltd. produced any other radios? Tigger
