I only have aviation & a few marine channels in my radio these days Chris. Many taxi companies use split frequency modulation so you only get either the mobile or base & there is nothing of interest on any way from what I have heard. Most seem to be between 166 and 168mhz NFM. The CB band seems to have died a death round here too.
I used to like the marine band in the days when the Bulk carrier used anchor off shore and the marchon boats used to offload it into the harbour. The port was very busy then with a fishing fleet too. Communications seem restricted to boats requesting a lock in or out these days.

For taxis search using 12.5KHz steps, FM, 82-83MHz (-13.5MHz mobile split), 162-165 MHz (-4.5MHz mobile split), 165-169MHz (4.8MHz mobile split) though most taxi firms use taxi-data systems with little voice traffic these days. For CB: 10KHz steps, FM, 27.601MHz-27.99125MHz and also the CEPT channels, 26.965-27.405 By far the best bet is to use your 'search' button
