Having followed the events surrounding the soon-to-be-acquired replacement for Helimed 63, was wondering if anyone had any news "through the grapevine", as to the current status of G-NHAA - formally G-MLTY. The latest I can found is a photo of it in its new livery with its former ID on. ;D

As far as im aware G-NHAA Is at present at Leeds/Bradford at Multiflight awaiting its interior re-fit to Air Ambulance and then to be certified as an Air Ambulance.

Thanks for that. Will be good to have another Dauphin on the service, with the possibility of a third later on. It's so much more suited to the AA(Air Ambulance) role. Plus, having seen it in action in Maryport a few months back, it is VERY much needed.

Apparently, 3rd aircraft could be G-DAUF. It is another 1991-built airframe, also currently with Multiflight.

just heard yesterday that one aircraft is still at PDG at Cumbernauld on Maintenance (G-HEMS). The new aircraft has technical problems so is awaiting a new part. No new info on the new 3rd airframe.

I think the GNAA is going down the pan! I bet a lot of people in Cumbria will be starting to donate money to the NWAA if they keep seeing it up in this area on jobs that G-HEMS normally attends. Not good.

I beg to differ.
Since my last post, I've read that Angel of the North (G-NHAA) is airborne again, after they discovered a problem with the engine and had to replace it. As for Pride of Cumbria, she is having her compulsory annual maintenance, which is a 3-week long job.

G-HEMS is back in Langwathby and operational. No news in the replacement for the the Otterburn aircraft (Helimed 20). UK Emergency Aviation still lists it as "Replacement To Be Another AS365 In Due Course". Hoping it will be G-DAUF.

Great news!! G-DAUF has been re-registered as G-NHAB - sister-ship to G-NHAA. Due into service in August. Heres a photo of it in GNAA livery with old reg. mark (See www.ukemergencyaviation.co.uk/G-NHAB.htm ). News on G-HEMS (Pride of Cumbria is that the lease expires in October, but there could be a SLIM possibility of an extension.

But now G-HEMS is back at PDG. Apparently its Maintenance-related, but timescale is unknown.
