It is still TBC BUT provisionally the RNHF Sea Fury is back at the WMF, this aircraft is awesome and will steal the show if they book her, its one of the most powerful piston engined aircraft ever built and last displayed at the WMF in 2001. www.royalnavyhistoricflight.org.uk/display.htm

It'll be nice to see Chris, Both this and the Catalina will be very relevant with the maritime theme.
Any idea what time the Red Arrows are here, on the Friday yet?

No confirmed time as yet, but it is likely the Reds will be displaying at Whitehaven towards the end of the day on Friday.
The Team are scheduled to display at the Goldcoast Oceanfest event at Croyde Bay in Devon around noon. Judging from this, you can expect them to transit up to Blackpool mid-afternoon and then perform at Whitehaven later.
As I say nothing confirmed, but I would suspect they'll be scheduled for a slot somewhere in the 1600-1700 window.

I'll be at work, so I'll be taking my break to coincide with the display I reckon.

Yes the festival is a bi-annual event so your friend is right, however our local MP Jamie Reed wants it to become a yearly event.

They have a second example too, a 2 seater, it would be nice to see both of them over the weekend.

Any idea if the Cat was doing a recce in the area last Tuesday.I was down in the harbour area i was positive it did a few passes(far out).I didn't have my glasses with me though so theres a chance it might have been something else.More than a couple of hundred yards and i'm as blind as a bat.
Cheers Gary

Dont know but i will e-mail them to ask. Just had an e-mail from Gerard Richardson, we will be hearing 'jet noise' over the weekend as they have booked a Hawker Hunter (dont know which one yet) and also a Douglas Skyraider (obviously Kennets) to display over the weekend. Oh and it is the Aerostars.
