Looks as if it will be Chinooks and Cougars this time. Indeedy. Chinooks and Cougars only, arriving 14th April departing 24th was the last word I got. Here is a picture of the new RNLAF grey scheme that may be applied to the cougars by then.

Up to 6 Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) helicopters (Cougar and Chinook) will exercise jointly with ground forces from 16 Air Assault Brigade. Chinooks sadly are reported to have gone U/S and therefore unfortunately not deploying to EGNC, however the Cougars have incresed back to 4 deploying. They will seemingly be a day late in coming over and are expected tomorrow (Wed).

It would appear that one of the Cougars is in the new colour scheme (S-454), hopefully the others will be in the more interesting camo scheme.

Still a no show at Carlisle today. Reports that they didn't make it to CBY by 1500 local due to low vis and diverted into Lakenheath instead. They were looking to progress to Leeming by today if the vis improved.

If you are listening out for them they will be using Wilcat formation as their callsign.
