Just had an email through from Cpt Van Gasternen of the Dutch Koninklijke Luchtmacht (RNLAF) saying they intend to deploy to Carlisle again, 2nd week in April for 10days, requested specifics on platforms that they will deploy also so I'll keep you posted.
From the MOD website... 14/4/09 - 24/4/09 Exercise TAC BLAZE LFAs 12,13,16 and 17 Exercise TAC BLAZE is a pre-deployment training exercise based around Spadeadam Electronic Warfare Training Range. Up to 6 Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) helicopters (Cougar and Chinook) will exercise jointly with ground forces from 16 Air Assault Brigade. RNLAF helicopters will be based at Carlisle Airport for the duration of this exercise.

Chinooks sadly are reported to have gone U/S and therefore unfortunately not deploying to EGNC, however the Cougars have incresed back to 4 deploying. They will seemingly be a day late in coming over and are expected tomorrow (Wed).
Just seen this on UKAR forum... On wednesday (tommorow) 4x AS532U2 will arrive at RAF Conningsby for refuel and then depart to Carlisle. Numbers will be S-442, S-454, S-458, S-459. Departure time from Gilze-Rijen (Netherlands) will be around 09.30Local Time , so 08.30Local UK time. Not known if the will depart to Carlisle same day from Conningsby.
With a cruise speed of 148mph and a distance of around 250 mile they will fly for 1hour and 45 mins to destination RAF Conningsby.

Still a no show at Carlisle today. Reports that they didn't make it to CBY by 1500 local due to low vis and diverted into Lakenheath instead. They were looking to progress to Leeming by today if the vis improved.
