Taking place this year on the 25th & 26th July. Last year they advertised record crowds had attended so fingers crossed for a bumper selection of aircraft this year.

Looking at the Yakolevz website i see they are down for both days again this year.

With Sunderland on at same time cant they get some more of their participents like 2007 or is it simply the cost? I know the rotary club is struggling as it is for 09! The Hawk will do for me and the Yaks,still a great location.

I believe it is the cost, where as in the past most of the aircraft came free (good PR for the RAF as using the area for low-fly) they are now having to pay for the displays, this comes solely through people buying the programmes on the day. Now last year they had 'record crowds' according to the Rotary Club website so this year might be slightly better than lasts.

The Reds are on Sunday 26th only, they have also got the Pitts Model 12 on Saturday only.

New website for the airshow at ...... www.windermereairshow.co.ukObviously a few amendments need made as we all know the Tucano is a no go this year. Nice to see mention of the Red Devils and a Chinook though.
