I think if spade are going to start a refuelling operation then it could well be a possiblity.Carlisle's "bread and butter" is predominantly a refuelling stop off for all things aviation travelling north and west and also on the return leg.Its 60 odd mile to the nearest military(Warton) refuelling point and even further to the equivallent civy point. Looking at the latest application by Stobart Air it seems that most of the original runway will remain abeit "upgraded".Which will ensure operations of the usuall standard.Rotary flight "should" not be affected and as theyve only just submitted the revised application I dont think there will be too much change in the next few months. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cumbria/7670198.stmAll the same I'l ask about.See If anyones heard anything.

Also Albemarle Barracks seems favourable, being an army base already and close to both Otterburn and Spade.

Looks like this has been backed up by another deployment to Albemarle for 2weeks starting yesterday.
