Just had a look at the weather data for Mildenhall this afternoon.
If i can decifer it correctly it says 020 degrees 15knts gusting 30knts.And Strong cross wind 020degrees 20kntsgusting35knts between 2pm and 6pm.
Prestwick has been around 10knts all Day which may explain why they diverted to there.
