Was up Thursday and Friday both days frustrating,an early Hawk on thursday then zilch till 4pm when a Tuc came through followed a min later by a Tornado which went high to avoid the Tuc,i later found out from a mate on Thirlmere that it was a Luftwaffe IDS so what a shame!!!! The next day expected rain held off but very gusty early on 2 passes by an MC130 from Mildenhall a bit later Warton Hawk XX278 and late afternoon a private Gazelle.

Monday was sunny The highlight was 3 Dominies, the lowlight was the Danish Merlin that went around the back of us on the West side,Chris C and my mate Ste got it on Thirlmere from the East side.2 Hawk's 3 Tuc's,3 Grob's and 1 Herc was the other trade,i understand Marham was shut and Harriers where on Night flying. Today started on East side met Chris C and Ste was there too,at 1100 we decided to try Hause Point on Thirlmere,on arrival 2 Hercs but i was out of breath and could not get cam out of bag in time!! but got 2 Tuc's.By 1500 the light was gone so we were off,at 1534 i was at AA box at Duni and on mobi to Bro Ed when GR4 came through!!! 1549 still on phone 2 more GR4's!!! the light was very poor but thats the way it goes

Friday, after finishing work around 9am i decided to go up Duni and risk the weather which played ball,no rain dry with the sun trying to get through, but only 1 movement "Dusty Bin" Warton Hawk XX321,i had a heads up of 3 GR4's coming into lakes but they did not come my way. Will be in Bala at my dad's on Monday night ready for a day with my bro at Cad West.

Tuesday was a disaster for me and my bro at Cad,sunshine and heavy showers a precursor as to what it was going to be like back in Cumbria a few days later. We managed a Tuc and 2 missed Hawks but the weather won.Managed to miss the worst off thursday but parts of Ulverston are under water but nothing like the North Lakes.Dont know when i will get up to Duni again, all that matters is that Workington,Keswick,Cockermouth,Kendal amongst others get back on there feet somehow.

Got up to Duni for the last time this year Friday, very very cold -3 on arrival but sunny,i knew the weather elsewhere may stop a lot of traffic from comming and a lot of stations finishing for xmas except Marham (23rd) but i was sure Warton would oblige and they did,Hawk "Dusty Bin" and Typhoon IPA1 i had to go at 1330 so that was it,its been a great first year and look forward to more next,MERRY CHRISTMAS.
